AAUW MI Districts (see also Local Branches)

2006-07 State Districts and Coordinators

AAUW of Michigan is divided into eight districts of varying size.  The District Coordinators act as a bridge between the state board and the branches.  The manner in which they communicate varies.  They help to establish district meetings of the branches in their area.  Below are the districts, their leaders, some information about the leaders, summaries of their activities and plans for future gatherings.  Information about the individual branches is on a separate handout.

District 1: Escanaba, Iron Mt./Kingsford, Marquette

District 2: Gaylord, Manistee, Traverse City

District 3: Bay City, Midland, Cass City, Owosso, Fenton, Port Huron, Flint, Saginaw, Frankenmuth Area

District 4: Adrian, Albion, Hillsdale, Jackson, Lansing Area

District 5: Big Rapids, Grand Rapids, Holland, Ludington, Muskegon, N. Ottawa, South Haven

District 6: Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, Marshall, Paw Paw

District 7: Birmingham, Grosse Pointe, Oakland, Pontiac/Waterford, Rochester, Romeo and

District 8:  Ann Arbor, Dearborn, Detroit, Farmington, Livonia, Monroe, Northville/Novi, Plymouth/Canton, Wyandotte/Downriver
