AAUW of Michigan Coalition Partners for 2007-2008 Council About Parochiaid (CAP) The Council of Organizations and Others for Education About Parochiaid (CAP) is a coalition of child advocacy, civil rights and education groups supporting the constitutional guarantee of a free public education for all Michigan children. CAP is a single-focus Council that concentrates its efforts on support for separation of church and state in public education. The CAP website may be accessed at: (www.capmichigan.org). The website contains the history of the Council, its board of directors, legislative information related to education issues. CAP meetings are held quarterly in sites that alternate between Southfield and Lansing. Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex. Section 2. The congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article. Section 3. This amendment shall take effect two years after the date of ratification. The Michigan organization, founded in 1976, is proud of its Honorary Co-founders; Honorable Helen Milliken and Honorable Martha Griffiths. There is renewed interest in the ERA at the national level and supporters continues to seek ratification in unratified states.
