Used Book Sales and Scholarships
For over a century, AAUW has been a leader in the advancement of women’s education and career opportunities. Since the early 1960s,

the Midland Branch has been part of this effort by recycling books through its twice-yearly used book sales. The funds generated enable the

branch to collectively contribute approximately $15,000 annually to:

·         Underwrite four local scholarships,

·         Donate to the AAUW Educational Foundation for fellowships, research, grants, awards and community action, and

·         Donate to the AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund that supports women challenging sex discrimination in higher education settings.

Local Scholarships

The Midland Area Community Foundation administers these scholarships. Applications can be made online after February 1 at

www.midlandfoundation.com Applications are due in early March.  Direct questions to the Foundation office at 109 East Main Street, Midland, MI  48640;
