Branch General meetings are usually held on the second Thursday evening of the
month at the Marquette Federated Women’s Clubhouse - 104 West Ridge Street,
Marquette, at 7 p.m.

Branch Projects

BOOK SALE: Branch members
organize a used book sale open to the community. Proceeds go to AAUW's
Educational Foundation which funds fellowships and grants for women from
around the world and are also used for local scholarships.

PUPPET SHOW: The branch produces
and presents an annual marionette show to the children and parents in the
Marquette area schools. Money generated is sent to the AAUW Educational
Foundation.

YOUNG WOMEN IN MATHEMATICS,
SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE: Established in 1993 by AAUW's Marquette
Branch and the Marquette Alger Regional Education Service Agency (MARESA).
branch members continue to support this growing yearly event on NMU's campus
for girls in grades 5-8. The Moira Reynolds Award, named for a former
Marquette Branch member, is given annually for writing in the areas of
Science, Mathematics, and Technology to the conference attendee.
