Campaign College: Women to Win Conference
Northern Michigan University and the local AAUW’s Committee W will play host to a Campaign College: Women to Win training program to teach young people, particularly females, skills for participating in student government and taking on university leadership roles. Bylaw and Policy Director:
Branch bylaws with AAUW’s mandatory amendments completed (to comply with restructuring at the 2009 national convention) were originally due to state Bylaws & Policy Director on October 31, 2009. The deadline has been extended twice, and now is scheduled for mid-March. If your branch has questions about how to do this, please contact me as soon as possible.
The state bylaws committee has proposed six (6) amendments to AAUW of Michigan bylaws for your consideration at state convention May 8, 2010. The current bylaw language and proposed new language is detailed in the 8-page “centerfold” included with this newsletter. Please save it to bring with you to convention.

Health Care: A Basic Right
AAUW continues to break through barriers for all women and girls. Our organization believes that everyone is entitled to health care that is high quality, affordable, and easily accessible.
