Michigan Membership DVD A Success
The AAUW of Michigan Membership DVD has been successfully launched and is receiving positive responses nationwide. This spring (2007) each Michigan branch president received a copy of the DVD. Also, the Association has plans in place to promote its availability in their communication pieces -- Mission in Action, EDEQChange, and AAUW Outlook, while PSAs are to shown on the AAUW web site.
Many branches from a variety of states purchased copies at the AAUW Convention. All branches are encouraged to have the DVD shown to their community teach and nursing groups, on local cable TV, over hospital closed circuit TV, in Women's Studies courses and graduating classes at local colleges. Use your imagination in finding appropriate venues. Every branch member should see it. It is a grea recruiting tool designed to increase awareness of AAUW and to attract eligible young people to AAUW membership.
